Lord Dhanvantari – The Divine Source of Ayurveda
Lord Dhanvantari is revered in India as the divine physician and the God of Ayurveda. According to ancient Ayurvedic tradition, Lord Dhanvantari emerged from the cosmic ocean during the Samudra Manthan, carrying the sacred knowledge and wisdom of healing, along with the pot of Amrita, the nectar of immortality.
He is traditionally depicted holding the conch, medicinal herbs, sacred texts and the vessel of Amrita, symbolizing health, healing, longevity and the preservation of life.
For thousands of years, Ayurveda has followed the principle of living in harmony with nature and maintaining balance between the body, mind and consciousness. Lord Dhanvantari represents this timeless wisdom and the compassionate purpose of healing.
At Shanti Makaan Ayurvedic Wellness Centre, we honour Lord Dhanvantari and the ancient Ayurvedic tradition by bringing together authentic therapies, Panchakarma, herbal medicine, yoga, meditation and mindful living to support health, balance and wellbeing.
